On #GivingTuesday last year, US nonprofits raised a record $400 million in online gifts. People must really be getting the hang of this because the 2019 total raised the bar even higher: a new record of $511 million. The total tally for the day—online and offline gifts combined—was $1.97 billion.
GivingTuesday claims to be a global movement, though the numbers they’ve announced, at least so far, pertain only to the US.
Next year’s event is on December 1, 2020. Will the goal be shattered once again? Or will interest begin to wane? How successful was your organization this year?
