A new report from GiveCampus found that online giving to education rose 27 percent in 2018. In December, institutions raised 48 percent more online than in that month the previous year, suggesting that year-end giving was robust. More than half of these gifts came from mobile devices.

According to this summary in the Chronicle of Philanthropy, older donors were just as likely to give as younger ones; social media continues to drive traffic to giving websites; and GivingTuesday campaigns were particularly successful last year.
