Jay Lockaby has more than 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector, tirelessly committed principally to two enormously successful organizations with celebrated fundraising legacies - - the Cancer Support Community and The Salvation Army.
Most recently, Jay spent 14 years with the Cancer Support Community (CSC), first as President and CEO of a successful local chapter and then as Senior Vice President, Affiliate Relations and Strategic Growth at CSC headquarters. During his first tenure, the organization successfully conducted and completed an $8.3 million capital campaign. As SVP for the Cancer Support Community, the organization raised a total of $350 million during his seven year stint. Prior to his work at CSC, Jay was a Regional Social Services Director for The Salvation Army, during which he participated in fund raising efforts which netted $30 million over seven years.
Jay’s history outside of his career is equally compelling. He is a 1992 graduate of Emory University where he was an NCAA All-American and team captain in swimming. He holds Masters degrees in Social Service and Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is married to Tracy Bradford-Lockaby and has a son, Owen, and daughter, Layla. Until recently, he swam competitively for many years and is an active alumnus of Leadership Sarasota and Leadership Florida.
Today, Jay is Senior Executive Campaign Counsel at Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc., using his multiple fund raising skills in developing and working with Boards, collaborating and guiding senior leadership, and developing and implementing successful capital campaign strategies.
